How to use the anagram solver
- Type your letters into the box. Use a question mark for a blank tile.
- Pick a minimum and maximum word length if you want to narrow it down.
- Choose your dictionary: TWL06 (North American Scrabble), SOWPODS (international Scrabble), Words With Friends, or all three.
- Hit Find words.
- Read the results, ranked by Scrabble score. Each word links to its dictionary entry.
What counts as a valid word
Every result is checked against a real, sourced dictionary. TWL06 is the North American Scrabble list (about 178,000 words) maintained by NASPA. SOWPODS is the international Collins list (about 280,000 words) used everywhere except North America. The Words With Friends list (Enhable-derived) is Zynga’s mobile-game dictionary, and it differs from both Scrabble lists in a few dozen edge cases (ZA is in Scrabble but not in Words With Friends, for example). Read the full comparison in our rules guide.
FAQ
How many letters can I enter?
Up to 15. That covers every Scrabble rack (7 tiles) plus board hooks up to a full triple-triple play.
Can I include blank tiles?
Yes. Type a question mark for each blank. Two blanks means two question marks. The solver will treat each as any letter and score it as zero, matching Scrabble rules.
Are proper nouns included?
No. TWL06 and SOWPODS both exclude proper nouns by design; the solver mirrors that.
